Adin Ross Unleashes On Doechii, Calls Her An “Industry Plant” and “Talentless”

What specifically did Doechii do to Adin Ross?

If you’re still calling Doechii a rookie—despite her being active in the music scene since at least 2018—you probably also believe she’s one of the most promising newcomers hip-hop has seen in years. With a Grammy win under her belt for Alligator Bites Never Heal and loosies like “Anxiety” generating serious buzz, her star power is undeniable.

But with rapid success often comes polarizing opinions, and recently, popular streamer Adin Ross sparked controversy with some harsh words aimed at the rising TDE star.

During a livestream, Adin went on an aggressive rant, calling Doechii an “industry plant,” “entitled,” “unintelligent,” and “talentless.” He even repeatedly said, “f**k her.” While Ross is famously loyal to Drake and has been openly dismissive of TDE artists, his comments struck many as unnecessarily personal.

Let’s be real: it’s fair to question how fast Doechii’s rise has been. Since Alligator Bites Never Heal, she’s reached impressive heights that even her critics find hard to ignore. But that’s more of a reflection of the industry—and fans’ thirst for the next “chosen one”—than it is a knock on her talent.

Whether or not you believe the “industry plant” label applies, one thing is clear: Doechii makes great music. Her charisma, creativity, and bold approach to artistry are why she stands out. The hate? It might just come with the territory.
