Logic Drops Energetic New Single “ITS A FEE” Ahead of Upcoming Album “Sidequest”

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

Playboi Logic?

Logic is a rapper, MC, singer, songwriter, and producer from Maryland who first gained attention with mixtapes in the late 2000s. After a difficult upbringing, Logic found solace and expression through hip-hop, citing artists like RZA, Wu-Tang Clan, and The Roots as early influences on his sound. His journey from mixtape grind to mainstream success culminated in the late 2010s, and today, Logic boasts 8.9 million monthly listeners and an impressive catalog of 15 studio albums.

Now, Logic is back with a new single, “ITS A FEE,” from his upcoming album, Sidequest. The track showcases an interesting sonic approach, with a repetitive chorus that, by the second time around, becomes surprisingly catchy. While some fans of Logic’s earlier work might find “ITS A FEE” a bit different, those who enjoy high-energy tracks similar to Travis Scott’s smash hit “FE!N” will likely find this right up their alley.

Although “ITS A FEE” isn’t my personal favorite from Logic’s catalog, it’s an intriguing preview of what Sidequest might deliver. Fans of bold, chant-heavy hip-hop anthems should definitely give it a listen.
